Raza-ing The Bar: Getting a Jumpstart on Bar Prep

Former Berkeley Law Dean of Students, Victoria Ortiz, will be giving tips on early bar prep.

Should you start bar prep early? Or should you wait until graduation? Learn pros, cons, and strategies for starting preparing early to reduce stress in the weeks prior to the bar. Come hear from a fellow Latina about what may be effective for you!

RSVP here to reserve a lunch.

Lunch with Judges-In-Residence

Every fall for the last seven years - we bring two amazing and inspiring members of the bench to spend two days with us immersed in community at Berkeley Law as our Judges-in-Residence. We are thrilled to be welcoming Judge Birotte and Judge Pillard to campus from September 23 - 24, 2019.

As a part of their visit, I put together small events that allow for our students (particularly 1Ls) to have one-on-one interaction with the judges. A big goal for this program is to make sure that the judges meet and get in front of as many 1Ls in their first semester of law school as is possible!

Raza-ing The Bar: What is the Bar Exam?

Hey 3Ls! Are you nervous for the bar exam? Have you not thought about it? Are you totally chill but still down for free lunch? Please join us on the first Tuesday of every month for our new series: RAZA-ING THE BAR!

Our first event is on September 10, 2019 at lunch in Room 132! We will be having Christopher Ide-Don, the UC Davis Law Director of Academic Success, explain the nuts and bolts of bar prep, specifically for first-gen students of color.

Please bring every question, concern, and anxiety you have; Chris is ready to ease all fears!
